In-House Recruiter, Global Reach

This is a short but interesting clip about how some corporations when faced with a talent crunch for in-house recruiters, should move some of their best brains to places where they need to put out fires. An example, albeit a global economic slowdown, are places like Vietnam, China and to some extend even Singapore and Malaysia where talented in-house recruiters are spread quite thin. So instead of hiring which can take several months and up to half a year, why not have a global mindset in using your current talent for short stints of 3 to 6 months from outside these regions.

OK, so it’s been several months since I last posted a blog. Hey! I’ve been busy!

I was privileged to be invited to the Universum Awards 2012 held in Singapore on July 19th and 20th 2012. Truth be told, I attended the proceedings on the first half of Day 1 only. But I came away with some great takeaways from a couple of great speakers.

Dr Adil Malia, Group HR President of Essar gave an overview of Employer Branding and its importance. Yes, I know. Employer Branding has been spoken to death for God knows how long.
